Wire Feeder PATON™ Feeder–15–4

The PATON Feeder-15-4 is equipped with an integrated power source for controlling the motor, the shielding gas valve, and the control systems. It features a robust, high-quality four-roller feeding mechanism with a hermetically sealed motor. The universal KZ-2 EURO connector ensures compatibility with welding torches from other manufacturers, providing users with great flexibility in choosing accessories.

The PATON Feeder-15-4 allows welding of various metals, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper alloys (e.g., CuSi, CuAl). It also supports working with flux-cored wire, making it a versatile solution for a wide range of welding applications. The feeder consumes very little electrical power, typically not exceeding 115 W, provided that the generator output voltage is within the permissible range of 180–260 V.

The feeder has its own power source supplying the motor, a protective gas supply valve and control system. Characteristic features of PATON™ feeders are a very powerful, high quality sealed metal wire feeding mechanism, as well as the integrated KZ-2 “EURO” type connector, which has become a standard worldwide, allowing the user to change the holder at will in the future. A protective gas supply valve is installed in the machine.

During the feeder operation its internal control system reads signals coming from the KZ-2 socket transmitted by the button in the holder. At the right moment it switches on the protective gas supply valve, after a predetermined delay it transmits the signal to switch on the power source, then it switches on and stabilizes the speed of the wire feeder motor rotation. When the process is complete, all components are turned off in reverse order with the required delays. By default, all parameters are set to optimum.

The device is optimized for operation with PATON™ production sources. Its adaptation is very simple and takes little time, as the design of the device already provides a tailored place for socket connection and source installation.

A protection module against under- and over-voltage is built into this PATON™ production model.
